Test drove a Fiat 500 and S2000 this past sunday. The 500 is not bad with it’s retro throwback styling but fell short of my expectations. It handles well and is fun, but the engine just doesn’t seem refined. It’s not very rev-happy. 

The S2000 on the other hand is the opposite. It handles like none other and with it’s reach-for-the-sky high rpm engine it definitely makes you smile every time you put your foot down. 

Summer is finally coming to a close. For the most part I’m looking forward to the new year. Visiting many parts of China, traveling to LA, Las Vegas, and Hong Kong sounds like a successful summer to me.

Truly one of the best looking cars in the world.

I am now in Hong Kong after my week long excursion through China, and all I can say is that I am amazed. Amazed at the size and diversity of China. People from Suzhou will speak their language while people from Beijing will speak mandarin with a beijing accent. These two languages sound nothing alike. And this is true all through all the villages in China.

Sitting here at SFO staring at the 747-800 I’ll be in for the next 15 or so hours. I’ll be in Hong Kong for a stopover at around 3am pacific time and then in Beijing at 9am friday morning pacific time also. But, it will be 11pm in Beijing which means major jet lag….oh well.

Finals starting on Friday ending on Thursday, let’s do this.

Then leaving for Hong Kong and Beijing in one week, which means GOOD FOOD and TONS and TONS of pictures. :D
